Child safety standards

Last updated: 28 October 2026

These standards apply to Decal, both on the decal.ink website and in the Decal app for iOS and Android. Decal is a one-to-one video chat service for adults only.

Zero tolerance

Decal strictly prohibits any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), soliciting minors, sextortion, and any behaviour that sexualises a child. Any violation leads to a permanent suspension of the account, which cannot be bought back, and to the matter being reported to the competent authorities.

For people aged 18 and over only

Decal is for people aged 18 and over. A minor on camera is prohibited in all circumstances, even alongside an adult.

Our measures

  • Mandatory age declaration when the account is created, and we keep a record of it.
  • Account required, opened only by signing in with Google or Apple: no conversation is possible without an account.
  • Automatic nudity detection, running on the device (in the browser on the website, on the phone in the app). When it raises an alert, a capture is sent to a human moderator.
  • One-tap reporting, with a dedicated reason: “Minor on camera”. This reason is treated as the most serious breach of our rules.
  • Human moderation: every report is reviewed by a person on our team.
  • Permanent suspension of any account whose violation is established; deleting the account is not enough to erase an ongoing suspension.
  • Blocking: anyone can block a person so as never to be matched with them again, including after the conversation has ended.

How to report

  • In the Decal app: use the report button during the conversation, or report one of the last people you met, and choose “Minor on camera”.
  • On the decal.ink website: use the report button during the conversation.
  • By email, at hello@fibroweb.fr, for any other report or any useful information.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your country’s emergency services first (911 in the United States, 112 in Europe).

Cooperation with the authorities

We report any child sexual abuse or exploitation content we become aware of to the competent authorities, without condition or delay, and we cooperate with law enforcement in accordance with the law. In France, content is reported through the PHAROS platform (internet-signalement.gouv.fr). In the United States, it falls under the NCMEC (CyberTipline).

You can also report content directly to these authorities, in addition to or instead of reporting it to Decal.

Compliance

Decal complies with the laws that apply to child protection and to the fight against child sexual abuse material, and with the rules of the app stores through which the app is distributed.

Point of contact

For any question about child safety on Decal, our designated point of contact can be reached at hello@fibroweb.fr.
